Rob Frier

President

Rob graduated in 1982 from Bucknell University with a BSEE and in 1989 from the University of Baltimore with an MBA.

Rob started at MET in 1987, and has worked in various engineering, sales and management roles. 

Rob has managed the company since 1992.  In that time, MET has grown from 22 people in one location to more than 160 people in four states, plus China and Korea.

Kevin Harbarger

VP, Business Development

Kevin served in the U.S. Air Force as a technician in the Test, Measurement, and Diagnostics Equipment Laboratory from 1981-1985. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.  After an Honorable Discharge, Kevin worked in sales in the electronic test equipment industry from 1985-1992. His last position in that industry was Regional Sales Manager for Continental Resources, Inc.

Kevin joined MET in 1992 in the role of Outside Sales and was elevated to National Sales Manager in 1995. He has been the Vice President of Business Development since 2001.

Rick Cooper

Director of Safety Laboratory

Rick started at MET in 1981 as a test technician.  Since that time, he has been a Field Labeling Safety Engineer, Laboratory Safety Engineer, Factory Inspector, Senior Safety Engineer & since 2000, Director of Safety Laboratory.

Rick helped MET gain NRTL accreditation from OSHA, and accreditation from the SCC, A2LA and IECEE.

Rick is a NARTE Certified Engineer (NCE) in the product safety discipline.

Today, Rick oversees 27 safety engineers and technicians in Maryland, California, Texas, China & Korea.

Troy Franklin 

Director of Environmental & Energy Laboratory

Troy graduated from Voorhees College with a BS in Mathematics and Denmark Technical College with a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.

Troy started at MET in 1987 as a Test Engineer and advanced to Senior Test Engineer, Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Environmental Simulation Lab Manager, Corporate Lab Director, and Corporate Counselor, VP of Operations, and is currently serving as the Director of Environmental & Energy Laboratory.

Asad Bajwa

Director of EMC Laboratory

Asad received a BS in Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore (1996) and MS from University of Victoria (2001). He received his initial EMC training from RF Industries in Australia and has been working in the EMC area for 12 years.

Asad started at MET in 2001 as an EMC Engineer, then advanced to Senior EMC Engineer, Union City EMC Manager, West Coast EMC Manager, and is currently serving as the Director of EMC Laboratory, as position he has held since 2010.

Asad has extensive experience in EMC design and evaluation, with specialization in EMC test automation, wireless, NEBS, automotive (SAE & E-mark), military and avionics testing.
