Military Environmental Simulation

MET Laboratories conducts MIL-STD climatic testing to extreme conditions, including rain, wind, salt spray, blowing sand and dust, altitude, explosive atmosphere, solar radiation, fungus and much more.

Vibration capabilities:

  • 35,000 force/lbs
  • 0.1 Hz to 500 Hz
  • 5 Hz to 3000 Hz
  • and test up to 4 tons.

MET performs temperature, humidity, altitude, and vibration testing simultaneously.

  • Temperature ranges from -100°C to 500°C
  • Humidity ranges from 5 to 100 percent
  • Altitude to 100,000 feet

Testing is automated through computer controlled systems to maximize accuracy and repeatability. MET has many environmental chambers including large walk-in chambers and several vibration exciters.

Some of the environmental simulation tests MET routinely performs include:

  • MIL-STD-810
  • MIL-STD-202
  • MIL-STD-167-1
  • MIL-STD-883
  • MIL-DTL-83526
  • MIL-E-5400
  • MIL-PRF-28800
  • RTCA/DO-160
  • Special NASA DoD standards
