| Transition to 60601-1 3rd Edition |
|
On June 1, 2012, it will be mandatory to comply with the third edition of IEC 60601-1 and the applicable particular and collateral standards for new product submissions to both the EU and Health Canada.
The FDA has established June 1, 2013 as its mandatory transition date.
MET has prepared a 60601 3rd edition Cheat Sheet that details the changes from the 2nd Edition. This document is available free of charge upon request.

| Electrical Vehicle Acceptance Grows |
 |
MET is fully committed to this fast growing industry, with substantial experience testing the Tesla for EMC & safety compliance to EU and North American standards. MET is one of the very first labs to test to UL 2231-1 and UL 2231-2, new standards that address the special setups needed to simulate an electric vehicle under charge.
Still early in its development, MET is ready to help mainstream this industry as new challenges become known. |
