MET NEBS Seminar in Israel a Big Success
MET held a compliance seminar in Israel on designing for NEBS. Along with MET, speakers from Arrow Israel, IBM Israel, Radisys Corp., Sun Microsystems and Comverse Corp. made for a well attended and informative NEBS seminar. Earlier in the year MET went to Shenzhen, China giving a two day Compliance for North America seminar. MET is extremely proud of its active involvement in the global marketplace . |

Pictured above: Rob Frier, President of MET Labs, opening the seminar. Other MET staff contributing to this effort included Troy Franklin, VP of Operations and Jim Reed, MET's Director of Telecom testing. MET's 20 years of NEBS testing experience takes the guess work out of testing and provides solutions before testing even starts. |

Watt Hour Meter Testing now automated at MET
MET is always aware of our customers unique testing needs and constantly adds test equipment and upgrades software to minimize the time spent testing your product. |
MET has added automated testing of watthours meters to its myriad of testing services. The WECO 2300 True Three Phase
Automated Electric Meter Test System is a microprocessor controlled single station KWH comparator and KW demand testing unit. The 2300 meter test system is of modular construction, and is designed to test both socket meters, and A base meters with the proper A base adapter installed.
With the advent of deregulation of electric utilities, MET has seen a marked increase in the request of watt-hour meter manufacturers asking MET to perform accuracy and safety testing.

|
 |
| Manufacturers of watt-hour meters are discovering that using MET saves time as all testing is performed at one facility. MET Laboratories tests and certifies watthour meters to meet requirements in the United States, Canada and elsewhere. Our certification mark indicates the meter was tested and certified to ANSI C12 and Canadian CAN3-17 for accuracy, UL 61010 and CSA 22.2 No. 61010.1 and LMB-EG-07 for Safety and NEMA 250 for enclosures. We also test and certify compliance for FCC and Industry Canada on electronic meters for EMC. |

Microwave Density Testing
Most North American safety standards dealing with commercial cooking equipment now reference microwave leakage levels cited in UL 923 Microwave Cooking Appliances. MET has OSHA approval to test and certify to this standard and also to a variety of cooking equipment standards, both commercial and residential. The microwave density tester that MET Labs has procured measures microwave emissions in three different ranges, the most extreme being 0 - 2 mwatts per cm2. |
