| 1. Verizon’s New Energy Efficiency Program |
| |
As of January 1st, 2009 Verizon will only purchase telecom products that have a Telecommunications Equipment Energy Efficiency Rating (T.E.E.E.R.). This rating must be obtained through testing and certification at a Verizon Independent Testing Laboratory (ITL) whose scope of approved testing includes VZ.TPR.9205. The standards will be applied to certain broadband, video, data center, network and customer premise equipment.
Verizon will not purchase telecom products after January 1st, 2009 without this rating. MET currently has no lead time on this testing but that will increase after the first of the year. For more information please visit www.metlabs.com/pages/nebs.html. Contact us today for a quote and get your testing completed before January 1st. |

| 2. Energy Star Laboratory |
| |
|
Energy Star is a joint program between the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Department of Energy. Using Energy Star products helped consumers save $16 billion dollars on their utility bills in 2007.
MET Laboratories is proud to announce that they are now conducting Energy Star testing. All consumer products that MET is currently approved by OSHA for can now be tested to energy star specifications in addition to product safety testing and certification. The Energy Star mark will help to attract consumers and businesses to buy your product in order to be a part of the green revolution. |

| 3. The premier Meter Certification Program. |
 |
| |
|
This program was created to ensure the accuracy, reliability and safety of electricity meters in homes and businesses throughout the United States and Canada. To learn more about MET's Meter Certification program, please visit www.metlabs.com/pages/meterCertificationProgram.html |
| |
| 4. Green support from MET |
| |
|
MET has been working with the California Energy Commission by performing field inspections of solar panel installations. MET is presently in meetings with the California Public Utilities Commission to help develop test methodology of electricity meters embedded within power inverters. |
| |
| 5. The expansion of MET into the Asian market. |

| 6. OSHA adds 21 additional categories to MET's ever growing NRTL capability. |
| |
|
Sixteen of these recent additions relate directly to home use appliances such as dishwashers, electric ovens, household refrigerators and freezers. This reflects the increased interest in MET Labs as an alternative to UL for the listing of products found in the home. MET now has OSHA approval to test and certify to 170 categories. |
| |
| 7. Seeking Approval for Additional OSHA Standards |
| |
MET Labs has applied to be approved by OSHA for 19 additional products safety categories. MET currently has the capability to conduct this testing and upon OSHA’s approval (a 3-18 month process) certification will begin immediately. This approval will bring MET's approved product safety categories for testing and certification to more then 190. The addition of these categories is only further incentive for all product safety manufacturers to switch to the responsive alternative to UL. For more information on the benefits of using MET over UL, please visit www.metlabs.com/pages/AsGood.html. The categories applied for are: |

| 8. Continued growth of services in partnership with EPCglobal™ |
| |
|
MET hosts and provides support for the newest and extremely useful validation service known as EPCIS Validation Portal. EPCIS VP provides a fast and simple way to visualize the data content and format of your EPCIS XML events. It is an essential tool for anyone working with electronic product code (EPC) management. |
| |
| 9. New Technology Advances Telecom Laboratory |
| |
| The Telecom laboratory at MET has purchased the Elgar SmartWave™ (SW) SW 21000 power supply. The programmable power supply will allow the lab to power equipment to 160Amps at 48Vdc. This will allow testing on larger systems that require higher current draw. The power supply offers strong waveform creation for ATE and power line disturbance simulation testing. |
|
 |
| The three separate arbitrary waveform generators help to create independent, complex waveforms on all three phases simultaneously. It is designed to meet waveform requirements including DC content (up to 312V), low distortion (THD 0.25% to 100Hz), low noise and ripple, plus full compliance testing to EMC standards. |
|
| |
| |
| 10. The opening of our newest U.S. laboratory in Santa Clara, California. This laboratory offers a wide range of environmental simulation and EMC services. |
| |
This facility offers the fastest radiated emissions compliance scans of any lab in the West. In addition, this lab also provides HALT/HASS testing. HALT/HASS is one of industry's more widely accepted means of determining reliability of a product through accelerated life cycle testing. |
