MET Santa Clara Verizon Certified to test Section 10 of GR1089
Section 10, Criteria for DC Power Port of Telecommunications Load Equipment adds transient and noise tests to be applied or performed on the DC power input port of equipment. MET Labs performs all the DC input power testing including minimum operating voltages, under and over voltage transients and impulse transients, as well noise emissions and noise immunity testing for equipment connected to local DC power systems.

MET Baltimore Upgrades Dust Blowing Chamber
MET's newest MIL-STD upgrade is a Dust Blowing Chamber specifically designed to meet the new requirements of MIL-STD 810G. The chamber can test a product measuring 3 x 3 x 3 ft. Humidity and temperature controls are in place. The test temperature range is from 20 to 71°C. -The new chamber is pictured on the right, shown with Ulugbek Nadjimov, MET's resident chemist, who oversees fungus and Airborne Contaminant Testing.

City of Los Angeles Expands MET's scope to include 5 HAZ/LOC standards
MET Labs, under per Section 93.0402 of the City of Los Angeles Municipal Code is considered to be an approved testing laboratory. On July 19, 2009, five ANSI/UL hazardous location standards were added to our scope, now totaling 127 standards to which MET's product safety certification mark would be accepted.

ACTA increases filing fee
Effective July 15, the Administrative Council for Terminal Attachments (ACTA) is increasing its fee for processing Telephone Terminal Equipment (TTE) for inclusion to the Part 68 database to $525.00 per submission. MET is an FCC designated Telecommunications Certification Body, or TCB. As a TCB, MET labs can issue registration numbers for equipment meeting requirements for 47 CFR Part 68 - Telephone Terminal Equipment (TTE). As an ACTA recognized and FCC approved TCB, MET provides a single point of contact for your project, from testing to certification.
