MET Laboratories to Participate in Summit on Product Approval Process October 3, 2007 at the ISA Expo in
Houston, TX
The Measurement, Control and Automation Association is presenting a round table open forum discussion on Hazardous Location Equipment Product Approval Process. Based on input from member companies, MCAA leadership sees an increasing disconnect between the Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs) and the testing and certification needs of instrumentation companies and their customers. This half-day meeting will bring the parties together in a process intended to increase the knowledge of member companies about the options available to them and about their best approach to the process of obtaining product approvals.
Rick Cooper, MET Laboratories Product Safety Lab Manager will be joined with representatives of seven other major NRTLS, including CSA and UL. MET hopes that this forum will help to improve understanding of issues specific to the HAZ/LOC industry and to open a better channel of communication so that the process works well for all.
