MET Labs is certifed by ISTA for the full Transit Tested Packaging Test Program, made up of the following procedures:
1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 1G, 1H,2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 3A, 3C, 3D, 3E, 3F, 3H, 5B, 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D
Laboratory Classification: Commercial
These procedures challenge the test package model to:
- Environmental stresses such as temperature, humidity and altitude
- Physical stresses such as drops, compression and transport vibration
MET can also create customized test plans, tailored from ISTA procedures, to meet specific test goals of the manufacturer, with pre-defined pass/fail criteria.
MET's rich range of environmental capabilities can be used to evaluate packaging outside of the scope of ISTA. Salt-fog, solar radiation and fungus testing are just a few examples of stringent tests associated with meeting MIL-STD requirements.
MET can test to ASTM D-4169 and NSTA Drop and Vibration test criteria. See a video of MET's drop tester in action.
Packaging testing is a valuable cost-saving exercise. Assuring your package model does what it needs to, before a massive manufacturing run, makes good business sense.
