Position: Sales Administrator / Project Coordinator
Location: Santa Clara, CA

Sales Administrator / Project Coordinator  - Our Sales department in Santa Clara, CA has an immediate opening for a Sales Administrator / Project Coordinator with a technical background.  
Responsibilities of Sales Administrator / Project Coordinator Include:

  • Serve as a liaison between Customer and MET for all aspects of assigned projects;
  • Coordinates and attends client meetings as requested;
  • Work with Laboratory Manager(s) as needed to develop creative scheduling strategies to fit customer's needs and goals, and to ensure that any obstacles to project completion are removed quickly and efficiently;
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining all aspects of client satisfaction and maintaining optimum scheduling of testing facilities;
  • Manage the full scope of client projects once a signed proposal or order is received by Sales to ensure that client requirements are met in a timely manner;
  • Communicate project status to clients and manage their expectations during the project period;
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Sales team to ensure that all client issues are understood and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high visibility with clients visiting MET to witness testing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on standards/testing requirements as needed to adequately fulfill duties.
  • Work with Engineering to respond to customer requests for information and prepare customized price quotes
  • Maintains Project Tracking and Customer Management databases current and up-to-date

Requirements for Sales Administrator / Project Coordinator:

The candidate for this position must have a technical background or have worked in a technical industry. A background in electronics preferred.
This position requires a strong focus on customer service, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organization and time management abilities, and past experience in a project coordinator role.
A self-motivated individual is required with a desire to enter into an exciting career field with a well established Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory.
A.A. degree or some college coursework through a technical school or the military is desired, although not required.

Position: Electrical Engineers Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Engineer (2nd shift; 2:30-11pm)
Location: Baltimore, MD
Position: Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Engineer (2nd shift; 2:30-11pm) – Perfect Opportunity for recent college grads with EE degree!
Our Baltimore, MD location is currently seeking Electrical EMC engineers for the second shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday).
Responsibilities:

  • Arrive to work by 2:30pm and work until 11pm, Monday thru Friday
  • Take the initiative to work overtime when needed to keep up with work load
  • Learn and perform testing in accordance with regulatory EMC test standards
  • Debug failing products and suggest solutions to customers
  • Quote the applicable testing based on customers’ requests
  • Interface with customers who have questions or are witnessing testing
  • Create test solutions for complicated products or new standards
  • Contribute ideas for improvement and expansion

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Desire to learn, grow, change, and work as part of a team

This is a very hands-on position that will require the candidate to interact with a number of different customers on many different levels. The position will be second shift, however some overtime may be required from time to time.

Field Engineer/Inspector – Product Safety Lab (Baltimore, MD)

Our Product Safety Lab in Baltimore, MD has an immediate opening for a Field Engineer/Inspector with a background in product safety standards.  A self –motivated individual with a desire to enter into an exciting career field with a well established Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory is required. 
Responsibilities of Product Safety Field Engineer/Inspector:

  • After a brief training period, the successful candidate will serve as a "follow up" inspector and perform audits of manufacturer's facilities.
  • Candidate will also perform testing and evaluation of electrical products to National/ and International Standards. 
  • Candidate will interpret standards and evaluate products for product safety.
  • Extensive travel (domestic and international) and flexible work schedules are required (60% plus).

Requirements for Product Safety Field Engineer/Inspector:

  • This position requires a strong electrical background and understanding of electrical systems.
  • This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills as the candidate will interact with a number of different customers on many different levels.  Multi-lingual speaking skills are a huge plus!
  • Candidates possessing a background in maintenance and installation of electrical equipment including CNC equipment and heavy commercial and industrial workplace equipment will be considered. 
  • Candidates with a Masters Electrician License will be considered.
  • A.A. degree, BSEE or equivalent desired, although not required.
  • Experience in the product safety field is a plus, but will consider entry level position for the right person.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
