Cosmos / Japan

In Japan, COSMOS was registered as the first authorized testing laboratory under Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law (: Denan-Law) in June 2001. Cosmos Corporation provides conformity assessment services for electric components and appliances for domestic and international standards. A CB laboratory under CB cheme of IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) in the categories of: IEC60065, Household Electronic Apparatus and IEC 60950: Information Technology Equipment.Currently. MET reviews COSMOS CB reports for NRTL product safety certification needed in North America. MET Laboratories has been assessed and is authorized to perform tests on behalf of COSMOS Corporation for the Japanese PSE marking per the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law. |

ITL, as a representative of MET Laboratories, supports Israeli manufacturers, achieving MET certificates for their products. Among other certifications, MET lab provides Certifications for Hazardous locations. |

| Korea Testing Lab |
|
As an official body named by the Korean Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, KTL has special roles spelled out in Korean law and performs a service for the national economy. It helps to ensure that imported products comply with international standards and with Korean legislation on safety. MET Laboratories and Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL) signed an MoU. There will be mutual recognition of the CB reports issued by both parties. This will allow Korean based manufacturers requiring safety certifications for North America to gain it locally through working with KTL. North American based customers can now attain market access in Korea by working with MET to gain the KC mark which is a mandatory safety and EMC mark for Korea.

| Nemko |
|
MET and Nemko have a joint cooperation agreement. Nemko is based in Norway and has testing facilities throughout the world. MET’s customers can gain access to certification in many countries throughout the world via Nemko Direct. This is a system of agreements that Nemko has established over many years with countries in Eastern Europe Asia and South America. Much of the testing can be performed at MET's test facilities in the United States. |

NSF International, an independent, not-for-profit organization, helps protect consumers by certifying products and writing standards for food, water, dietary supplements and consumer goods. Founded in 1944, NSF is committed to protecting public health and safety worldwide and operates in more than 120 countries. NSF is a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Food and Water Safety and Indoor Environment.
Additional NSF services include training and education, safety audits for the food and water industries, management systems registrations delivered through NSF International Strategic Registrations, and organic certification provided by QAI (Quality Assurance International). |
