Shipping, Receiving, and Support Associate – California Bay Area

MET Laboratories, Inc.  is seeking a hard working, reliable, honest individual to assist in all aspects of shipping and receiving functions as listed below.

Accountability Summary: 

  1. Process and file inbound freight receipts;
  2. Maintain all logs associated with inbound/outbound freight;
  3. Create bar code labels (CEIT label) to be affixed to customer equipment;
  4. Applicant must be familiar with hand-held bar code scanners & print devices;
  5. Process outbound shipments; familiarity with UPS/FedEx & other carriers required.
  6. Process International shipments…familiarity with Customs documentation required.
  7. To accomplish the above, the ability to read, write, & comprehend English is required.
  8. Must have basic PC knowledge (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  9. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to effectively communicate issues.
  10. Must be able to take direction & follow processes and procedures.
  11. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  12. Must be willing to assist co-workers as needed.
  13. Must be customer service oriented and safety conscious.
  14. Must have “clean as you go” work habits to thrive in a fast paced work environment.
  15. Must maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  16. Must have good organizational skills.
  17. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (clean DMV printout);
  18. Must have own transportation;
  19. A positive “can do” attitude is required.
  20. Assist in facility maintenance and support site Engineers as needed
  21. Must be familiar with and capable of using handheld and electric tools
  22. Willing to learn OJT of chamber repair/maintenance
  23. Must maintain records/logs pertaining to Exit Signs & Fire Extinguishers
  24. Must maintain cleanliness of facility, automobiles, & forklift
  25. Assist in Union City as needed.
