Mexico Electrical Testing
 

Mexico’s Secretary of Commerce is now accepting products certified to the following standards by an NRTL/SCC-approved lab in lieu of the NOM Certification.  MET Labs was the first Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory, and has the accreditations and experience to do this product safety testing and certification.

MET also performs telecom testing to NOM-152 (Digital 2M) for Mexico.

Normally, NOM certifications can only be obtained in-country. However, an exception is made in these instances where the UL and CSA standards are similar to the NOM standards.

Only those laboratories that meet ISO/IEC Guide 65, are approved by OSHA as NRTLs, and as a Certification Bodyby the SCC, will be recognized as third party testing organizations for products shipped into Mexico. MET meets all these criteria and more!
